Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullaahi Wabarakaatuh,
In the name of Allah, The Most Merciful and Beneficent, praise belongs only to Allah, the Sustainer, and the Lord of the Universe. We thank Him for the precious Bounty He has endowed upon us; we are given oppurtinity, health, and strength so that we can gather here to celebrate the 58th Convocation of UIKA.
Peace and salutation may Allah shower upon His beloved, the prophet Muhammad SAW, his families and companions.
Ladies and Gentlemen.
Today is one of the most important days which will engrave our destination in the future. The moment we step in to this university, our heart is filled with fear and anxiety, because we do not know whether we will reach the finish line or we may become “martyr’ in the middle of this struggle. We try our best: we studying, attending classes and seminars, some of us even have to work; we also pray and keep asking our parents also praying for us. Alhamdulillaah, what we dream at beginning has become realized today. This prestigious moment finally come to us.

We know this moment cannot be realized without the help of a number of people. Therefore, in this opportunity, we would like to express our deepest thank to various segments of people.

First, on behalf of all graduates today, we would like to thank to the authority of the University for allowing us to pursue our higher education in this beautiful university. For Rector, Deputy Rectors, (Deans, Deputy Deans, and all staffs) we are deeply thankful to you. We are also very much indebted to our respected lecturers who have enlightened our intellectual horizon, without them we would never come to this stage.
Our special thanks especially go to our beloved parents. It is their invaluable love that has brought us to stand here today. Thank you mommy and daddy, we love you all.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Education is a process which man has gone through to make his life and morality, especially toward God, better. Education is an important instrument to change the prospectus of the life of the people. But education alone would be nothing if not guided by religion. Religion, especially Islam, and education are then like two sides of the coin, they are inseparable. Education without religion would only produce machine, man without heart. Knowledge without guide would produce nothing but destruction. This is what we are seeing today. There are a number of scholars, but morally corrupted.

In fact, this is an aspect which has put Islamic education different form another system of education, let say Western education. And it is from Islamic education, great and outstanding figures were born. One of the greatest achievements of Prophet Muhammad SAW in is that he was able to produce good man with high moral character. And it is these men, the Sahabat, that had made change to the course of human history. We pray to Allah, may He make the knowledge that we get beneficial to our life and people surrounding us. This is one of the indicators which prove whether our knowledge is of any barakah or not. Those who cannot bring him to be closer to Allah SWT are indeed the loser, the Prophet said. May Allah protect us from falling into this sort of people.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Amid the wind of liberalism and secularism, many parents find difficulty where they should send their children after completing their Junior High School. They are afraid about Akhlaq and ‘Aqidah of their children. It is in this relation, UIKA, In sya Allah in the near future, can operate as one of the leading alternative universities and thus can meet the needs of the parents.
Finally, that is all I can say in this occasion. We pray may Allah the Almighty save and show His guidance to all of us.

And He taught Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: "Tell me the names of these if ye are right."
They said: "Glory to Thee, of knowledge We have none, save what Thou Hast taught us: In truth it is Thou Who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom."
 Success for beloved UIKA.
Wassalaamu’alaikum wa rahmatullah wa baarakatuh.
Bogor, May 17th 2014
